A maritime atmosphere and a relaxed way of life in the port of B\u00e9nodet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From the moment you step onto the quayside, B\u00e9nodet harbor<\/strong> has a simple, lively atmosphere. Fishing boats<\/strong> rub shoulders with pleasure yachts<\/strong>, the terraces<\/strong> come alive, and the comings and goings of strollers give rhythm to the day. The eye wanders between the masts and the reflections of the sun on the water… it’s hard not to stop and enjoy the spectacle! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vieux Port<\/strong>, in the center of town, has a special charm, with the church of Saint-Thomas Becket<\/strong> and its houses facing the river. This is the departure point for cruises to the Gl\u00e9nan Islands<\/strong> and trips on theOdet<\/strong>, often described as one of the most beautiful rivers in France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you walk along the pontoons to Penfoul<\/strong>, the B\u00e9nodet<\/a> marina<\/strong> reveals a different face: more modern, more lively. Families love to stroll here at the end of the day, when the light turns golden and the horizon turns pink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our favorite: we recommend watching the sunset from the quayside. The atmosphere becomes soft, the boats turn orange and the terraces fill up. Walks and cruises departing from the port<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From the port of B\u00e9nodet<\/strong>, everything invites you to set sail! Several companies offer sea or river trips to discover the beauty of South Finist\u00e8re<\/strong> from another point of view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruises on theOdet<\/strong> are a real pleasure. In just a few hours, the boat winds its way up the river through woods, manor houses and sheltered coves. On-board commentaries<\/strong> tell the story of this valley and its unspoiled landscapes. Come aboard for a leisurely ride, perfect with children! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further offshore, we head for the Gl\u00e9nan Islands<\/strong>, about an hour’s sail away. These clear-water islands are reminiscent of tropical lagoons<\/strong>: fine sand, turquoise seas and a peaceful atmosphere. Walkers and swimmers will particularly appreciate this getaway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for a shorter trip<\/strong>, the P’tit Bac<\/strong> links B\u00e9nodet to Sainte-Marine<\/strong> in just a few minutes. A charming crossing, ideal for lunch on the other bank or a longer walk along the estuary<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our favorite: we particularly appreciate the crossing to Sainte-Marine. Arriving on the other side of the river, with a view of the harbour, is a memorable experience for those who love simple, authentic walks. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

All aboard: boats and water sports to get away from it all<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At B\u00e9nodet harbor<\/strong>, life revolves around the sea. On the pontoons, you’ll see elegant sailing boats, a few fishing boats, as well as light boats for cruising. Even if you’re not a sailor, it’s well worth the detour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who want to try their hand at adventure, a number of providers offer boat rentals<\/strong>, with or without a license. Whether you’re on your own or with the family, this is a great way to sail along the Odet or the coast at your own pace. The more sporty prefer to take to the water in a catamaran<\/strong>, windsurfer<\/strong> or kayak<\/strong>, available near the port and at the nautical base. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thrill-seekers can also visit the UCPA B\u00e9nodet-Gl\u00e9nan<\/strong>, located near the Mer Blanche. This renowned center offers a wide range of nautical activities, including sailing, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing and sea kayaking.
Between boat departures and arrivals, the port of B\u00e9nodet<\/strong> remains a lively and pleasant place! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our favorite<\/em>: Many visitors comment on the beauty of the marina, with its lively terraces and walkways. Many speak of a “pleasant place to walk around”, with a “superb view of the boats” and “nice restaurants for lunch by the sea”. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Water sports and thrills at UCPA B\u00e9nodet-Gl\u00e9nan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just a few minutes from the center of B\u00e9nodet<\/strong>, the UCPA B\u00e9nodet-Gl\u00e9nan sports village<\/strong> brings the coast to life with its communicative energy. Set in exceptional natural surroundings on the shores of the Mer Blanche<\/strong>, the center is recognized as a French Sailing School<\/strong> and Kite-surfing School<\/strong>. Learn, have fun and enjoy the great outdoors in complete safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program is rich: catamaran, dinghy, windsurf, sea kayak, mini-catamaran, windsurf or kite-surf<\/strong>. Lessons are led by enthusiastic instructors who know how to put beginners and experienced sailors alike at ease. What’s more, children have their own areas, adapted to each age group, so they can enjoy their vacations to the full. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The place also appeals for its friendly atmosphere: comfortable accommodation, meals eaten together, relaxed evenings… everything exudes good humor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
